Queen Anne Courtyard, Dromoland Castle

Dromoland Castle is now a luxurious 5 star hotel that has been visited by many celebrities including Bill Clinton, Johnny Cash, Bono and Michael Flatley.

The Castle has been having a face-lift recently and we were very proud to be involved in some of the works.

We were commissioned to improve the Queen Anne Courtyard. The courtyard was originally built in 1736 by Sir Edward O’Brien.

Our work included laying limestone paving. Creating a bespoke water feature in the middle of the courtyard and planting to soften the hard landscaping. We also added oak pergolas to give height for climbers.
